I love Music! I play percussion.  I am part of the school’s Jazz Ensemble and the Berkeley Acapella Group.

BANDS OF BERKELEY (9, 10, 11, 12)

President (12); President-Elect (11); Creative leader (10), Volunteer (9)

  • Started as a volunteer with the band in 9th grade (unofficial member)– started taking music lessons from scratch in the summer.
  • Joined the band in 10th grade- designed and created percussion costumes for Star Wars marching show. Including fabric design, ordering 3D printing, sewing, and organizing.
  • Received at superior in MPA and Excellent at Lions Pride competition.
  • Developed theme and storyline for marching show, dragons, designed (sketched, 3D modeled, and drafted plans) original dragon and columns props for the show.
  • Elected president elect in 11th grade, will become president senior year.
  • Played percussion for Marching Band and Concert band (10,11)

BPSO

  • Percussionist for the Berkeley Prep Symphonic Orchestra (11)

Above and Beyond Award

  • Created an award within the band to recognize and celebrate a student every month that contributes or impacts our band in a meaningful way during that month.

Band Promotion

  • Developed and edited a promotional video for the brand to recruit new students.
  • Developed and edited the end of year recap banquet video.

Jazz Band

  • Primary vocalist for the Berkeley Prep upper Division Jazz Band

Spring Musical Pit Orchestra

  • Percussionist in Mean Girls (10)

 PHD Recital

  • Invited to play alongside professional musicians for my band directors PHD recital (11)

 Summer Breeze

  • Invite only, USF BAY Winds students and alumni to rehearse and perform in the summer alongside Florida Wind Band
  • *BAY Winds is an USF audition-based music program, while I had not participated in BAY winds, I was invited to participate due to skill level.

  • Performed @ lights on the lawn, winter concert, Spring concert, Tampa Tree lighting ceremony, winter & spring all-school convo, ICHSA, etc.
